Hi!
I'm Abby, an (almost) graduate at San Francisco State University studying Visual Communications. I am originally from Southern California, a town called Temecula and have lived in SF for four years, having just recently moved to the Outer Sunset. I love the ocean, playing guitar, gardening, and spontaneous dance parties.
Things that inspire me the most are seeing humans use their resources to positively impact vulnerable individuals and communities. This could be small acts of kindness to more large-scale projects. I am definitely motivated by the thought that what I create can benefit people in need and aim to design with empathy. I am also inspired by wildcard (and badass) graphic designers like David Carson and Corita Kent.
• "The great gift of human beings is that we have the power of empathy, we can all sense a mysterious connection to each other." - Meryl Streep
My vision is to do any job that will allow me to help vulnerable individuals and communities, preferably through graphic design. I would love to work for a company like IDEO, who use human-centered design to push for positive social impact.
